Distillery Information
Tomatin distillery is situated in the Highland Scottish malt whisky region and is located in the village of Tomatin, sixteen miles south of Inverness. The history of the distillery goes way back to 1897 and half a century ago Tomatin was the biggest malt distillery in Scotland. In the 1970’s there was a surge in the production of Scottish whisky resulting in an excess in the early 1980’s.
