Kavalan European Exclusive 2022 Olorosso Sherry Cask #S170515015D 5 Year Old 2017 Single Malt Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Very light smoke, oolong tea, brown sugar, sweet and juicy orange, light cream, a little black plum, dried fruit.
Palate: Fresh berries and blueberries, followed by sweet taste, such as orange jam, apple jam, sweet dried fruit, and finally some cream and sweet black tea as the ending.
Finish: Light aroma of black tea, sweet cream, black plum, apple sugar.
Distillery Information
The distillery is named after the old name of Yilan County. The distillery was completed in December 2005, produced its first spirit in March 2006, and released its first bottling in December 2008. After its first few runs Kavalan bought a new set of much larger German stills to expand production.
