Similar to the classic Kanosuke, it is aged in shochu casks and bourbon casks, but this edition also brings sherry casks into the maturation process.
Kanosuke 2023 Limited Edition Japanese Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: The aroma unveils notes of banana, vanilla custard, ripe fruits, and a hint of smoke.
Palate: Flavors of salted caramel, black tea, sweet red bean paste, and orange.
Finish: The finish combines citrus and pepper, with a lingering smokiness.
Distillery Information
The Kanosuke Distillery is named after the 2nd generation leader of the company, Kanosuke Komasa. The distillery is located on a 9,000 square meter tract of land along the Fukiagehama Beach on the west coast of Kagoshima Prefecture.
