On the palate, it offers herbaceous flavors with pine, butter, honey, pepper, and chocolate. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving behind undertones of white oak and toffee. History: Established in 1984 under the expertise of Elmer T. Lee, Master Distiller at the George T. Stagg Distillery, now the renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery, this bourbon has a storied past. It was developed in collaboration with Colonel Albert Bacon Blanton, who served as President of the Distillery from 1921-1951. His preference for bottles aged in the unique metal-clad Warehouse H, known for its temperature fluctuations, led to the unique aging process that defines this bourbon.
