1989 Old Pulteney Vintage Limited Edition
Old Pulteney is a one of the northernmost distilleries on the mainland of Scotland, located in the herring port of Wick. Among many accolades, its 25-year-old Single Malt was awarded a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2019.
Located a few hundred meters from the North Sea, the whiskies have a hallmark salty note. There also tends to be an oily fruity character derived from the stills.
The distillery is owned by Inver House Distillers, the Scotch Whisky division of International Beverage of Thailand. Inver House also runs Balblair, Knockdhu, Speyburn and Balmenach.
