‘The Culloden Bottle’ is a recreation of a rare 18th-century flask that originally belonged to Duncan Forbes of Culloden, possibly holding Ferintosh whisky, Scotland’s earliest known brand. Distilled in 1971 and bottled in October 1995 (presented in a ‘wonky’ bottle) to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Culloden in April 1746, this whisky was crafted in collaboration with The National Museums of Scotland.
